The anniversary edition, prepared for the 10th anniversary of the founding of one of the largest manufacturers of electric vehicles in the Russian Federation — Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant (UTTZ). The prerequisites for the establishment of the company, the appearance and development of UTTZ JSC are shown from an unusual perspective — through the memories of current and former employees of the company.
The book consists of 9 chapters, each of which tells about a separate stage of the company's appearance and development. The first experiments in the modernization and production of trams and trolleybuses, cooperation with the Neftekamsk and Minsk automobile plants, bodies of their own design for trolleybuses and electric buses, becoming industry leaders — these and other events are described in such detail that you can feel like a participant in them. The 10th chapter of the publication is devoted to the company's divisions and the employees working in them.
Between the chapters of the book there are supplements like information and advertising booklets, describing the products of UTTZ JSC, old, modern and future. For each model of trolleybus and electric bus a detailed photo report is provided, including pictures of the driver's cabin, passenger compartment, assembly and component base, supplemented by a table with main technical characteristics of the vehicles.
The original text is supplemented with photographs and illustrations, most of which are published for the first time. The pages of the book present the company's employees, the plant's products in 3D, metal and plastic, the process of creating new vehicles, unrealized and promising projects.
The presentation of the publication took place on July 8, 2025 at events dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant. Most of the print run (350 copies in total) was received by guests of the event and employees of the plant as a business souvenir. A small part of the print run was distributed and available for purchase, including our online store. Now our batch of books is sold out.
