The book is devoted to the history of passenger transport in Maykop. Tram service projects, the appearance of buses and the gradual expansion of the bus network. New trolleybus system plans, construction of 6 trolleybus lines in 1970-2000s. Taxis and minibuses of Maykop in Soviet times. Transformation to joint passenger service by municipal and commercial carriers in the 1990s. The current state of Maykop mass transit system.
Specific chapter is devoted to the external transport connecting Maykop with other settlements of Adygea and cities of the Russian Federation: bus, railway and aviation. The expansion of the republic's road network is also described.
For the first time, the book contains unique photographic materials and scans of documents illustrating the development of the transport industry. The growth of the route network is shown using detailed schemes. The chronology of transport development and a detailed list of references are given.
