Following successful publication of the Atlas of Urban Electric Transport in the Russian Federation in 2016, our historical studies of mass transit systems have continued. The authors are now happy to announce a new book — Tajikistan Mass Transit.

Tajikistan Mass Transit

This publication is dedicated to all types of mass transit operating in modern Tajikistan. The main focus of attention is on the history of bus and trolleybus services in the two largest cities, Dushanbe and Khujand, including the intercity trolleybus line from Khujand Gafurov. Other chapters in the book describe plans for the construction of a tramway system in Dushanbe and trolleybus projects in other cities. There is also information about freight and passenger cableways, narrow-gauge and childrens railways, as well as the development of bus services in the smaller towns of Tajikistan.
